a foreign language always looks good! beyond that if you really have no clue i’d go for the facilitating subjects. i took triple science, further maths, german, and history which are all quite good GCSEs

Can you give us an idea of which ones you are considering and your opinion on all those subjects?

This is not a necessity, but doing the EBacc is always good. This includes you doing a language and humanity (only history or geography), plus your core subjects (science, maths, lang&lit). However, if you don't enjoy certain subjects like history or geography or a language, there is no point of going through struggle and stress for 2 years to get a qualification you don't want or you don't enjoy. So ask yourself: what subjects do you enjoy? If you enjoy performing arts, art and technology, business, RS etc., then you should definitely have at least on them in there.

Also do you know what you want to be/study in the future? It's still early, of course, but studying and enjoying something earlier gives you a better scope of how it could be in the future.
