I am nearly 40 and my health is going downhill. I get poor sleep and body pain often. I do not exercise and regularly sit and do nothing. What should I do

See your GP? Your information is incredibly vague and no one will be able to give you any meaningful advice here.

You might be suffering from insomnia so that might also be something to look into. Or it could be linked to stress and work (I've never tried mindfulness and meditation but they're supposed to help). I would definitely go to see a GP just to see what's going on. Good luck with everything

Sounds like a good time to see your GP for a check up. There's a bunch of things that can start affecting people as they get older and your GP is in the best position to know which might be affecting or likely to affect you and to help you manage that.

Other than that it's never a bad time to take a look at how you could make your lifestyle more healthy. Things like improving your diet a little, reducing "bad habits" like smoking or drinking, seeing if you can reduce or better manage any stress, go for a walk each evening or take up a new active hobby.

Hope that helps. Good luck with your GP.
