I have to do an 8 minute speech for my law class tomorrow and I’m so nervous. It’s only going to be 2 teachers and 3 people from my class Burbank I literally feel sick. I finished writing it about 30 mins ago and I cant sleep. Has anyone got any tips to help me?

Picture 24 hours from now. Or ask yourself if it’d matter in a year’s time. Whatever happens. Goodluck 💪

Put the speech on little cards, so they look tidy and they’re there for you to look at if you meed to as a safety net. Good luck!

That is just 5 people in total, is nothing, if it was freaking 30 then I would understand.

it will feel awful until after you finish. But the more you do it, the easier it gets (I know that is an old trope but it is 100% true).

I spent all of my undergrad degree trying to dodge presentations, now I do them every day and don't think twice about it.

Deep breaths, speak slow enough to allow you to control your panic but not so slow that you sound like you're having a cognitive episode. Chin up, shoulders slightly back. if you don;t feel confident, blag it until you do.

Thanks for all your advice. I know it’s only a small amount of people but I can’t help feeling so nervous. Tbh though I find it hard just to ask a teacher a question lol

pretend that no one is watching or pretend that you are talking to your pet if you have one. Just get it over and done with.

what is your presentation in front of 5 people compared to the presentation given by a president in front of a nation.

Glad it went well - quite often that happens, the build up is worse than the actual thing.

Try practicing in front of someone/some people, it'll help you remember and gain confidence. First do it reading off the paper then do it the way you will tomorrow.

Irrelevant to her position and her predicament.

Through year 7 to 10 i always had to do them in front of classes and I would always be on the point of passing out or crying. I thought I wouldn’t have to do any presentations in year 12 but I am just lucky that my law teacher is nice. It was still just as hard though

I love doing presentations. It's my chance to show I know ****. Thing I hate is group work. Cos they might know **** all and **** everything up.
