I've recently worked out how many calories I should be eating and my macros however I'm not sure whether I should be eating the same amount every day. I am currently trying to gain muscle so I'm eating 200 calories above maintenance. 5 days of the week I work (I do about 12k steps on a shift) and go to the gym so I eat lots on these days. on my days off I don't really do anything so I'm hardly burning any calories. should I still be eating in a surplus on my days off?

Same amount of calories every day. even when your resting your muscles are still working and building from your prior work outs, so you need the calories, just make sure to have enough carbs, protein and fats in your diet and youll be fine

After a really long work out I'd eat extra that day - but only something unusually physical e.g. 120km+ bike ride or something. Generally I eat around the same amount every day - it balances out and it's easier to eat more healthy calories.

Same amount of calories every day making sure that you eat more calories than before you started working out.
