To think my boss shouldn’t have said this to my parents watch

    • Thread Starter

So I have a professional job and I’m 28. I contacted my employer to let them know I wouldn’t be able to get in because of the snow.

Anyway my employer rang my landline (wish I’d not given it to them) and said to my mum that they didn’t know where I was and wondered if I was at home. My mum explained I was and both my trains were cancelled. She said she would put me on the phone.

When I got on the phone the line wasn’t working and she couldn’t hear me so she hung up and I sent a confirmation email.

I know it’s minor but I don’t think any details should have been given to my mum. She isn’t me and i didn’t want her to know that my boss didn’t know where I was (my mum always goes on about things and now she’s saying I’m bad etc).

I know it’s only minor but I don’t think my boss should have discussed that with my mum.

your boss should not discuss anything with your mom
