    I am a mature student looking to start uni in Sept 2018. Going through student finance, I am currently able to receive the full amount of maintenance loan as I am low income.

    I am meant to be getting married in April 2019 and was just wondering does anyone know how that would affect my future loan? My partner is currently earning 27k

    Hi C,

    If the change happens on or after the start of the academic year we do not need to be informed of this until the student applies in the following year, unless by changing their sponsor's information there would be a difference to their entitlement.

    If your marital status changes from single to married or living with a partner during the academic year we won't require their spouse / partners income details until the following academic year.
