    Hey guys,

I basically got a C/D grade on my history coursework (which I was even surprised with because at the time I gave it in, my life was completely f*cked up) but I keep looking back in regret now because I am actually usually an A grade student. I know that if i was to do the coursework now, i could do it overnight and get a good grade. Just at the time, my conditions were not one in which I was able to do any sort of work, let alone coursework.
My school knows about everything, yet they aren't letting me redo it. So i'm trying to figure out what I have to get on my exams to get an overall A or B grade. It's really scary because i'm now worried about whether or not I can meet my conditions of AAB for university.
Tried working out UMS but cant do it lol.

    Thanks

You have to measure the % shortfall between what you got and an A or a B.

You the have to take the weighting into account i.e if it was 20% of the total, then / that number by 4 and add that to the average grade you need to get from the other exams for a A or a B.

If you were suffering medically and have a doctors note , then put in a claim for special consideration. Talk to the exam officer and see if its applicable.

i’m confused at what you mean by this..
“You the have to take the weighting into account i.e if it was 20% of the total, then / that number by 4 and add that to the average grade you need to get from the other exams for a A or a B.” Like maths just goes over my head lol. Say if i got a C in the coursework, what grades do i need to get in the exams?

Weighting is about proportion. If one exam contributes 25% of the marks and another 75%, then the 75% exam is 3x more important.

If you get a C in coursework and you need a higher grade, then you need to get that grade plus additional marks to raise your coursework from C to the higher grade.
