    Hey,

I recieved a message from Kings College today inviting me to an interview. I've applied for Anatomy, Developmental and Human Biology BSc. I didn't expect to be invited to interview, I thought it'd just be a yes or no.

Has anyone got any advice on what the day would entail? Is it very formal or relaxed? Will it be addmissions tutors or past/current students interviewing me? And, What type of questions will they be asking me?

I'm assuming they just want a little more information on my educational background and what not but, still, I'd appreciate any advice.

    Thanks! x

Have you been given an offer? It says on the website that offer holders will be invited to interview/open day. It seems informal and just an avenue for you to ask questions about the course and related topics

No, no offer. I think this basically means that they are trying to decide whether to offer me a place or not. So its positive that they seem to like my application, but it's obviously not enough to offer me a place based purely on whats down on paper. Hopefully they just want to get a better feel of who I am and what I can offer?

If you go down to entry reqs, expand it then scroll down, you'll come to selection procedure. It says they give interviews to applicants who get offers.

Your offer probably hasn't come through yet.

When I was applying, I got an interview at UCL, then got an offer before I went to the interview, maybe it's just a University of London convention.

I really hope you're right, but I think it is definitely an interview to see if they want to offer me aplace or not. Becuase above that, it says that they interview applicants when they feel they need to gather more information on their education. And that their personal statement and academic performance will be explored.

I just have no idea what they'll ask. Thank you for looking though!

Same to you! Though I dont think they’ll be out to trick you on some questions and as I’ve heard, they’ll mostly be ordinary questions like why you want to study the subject, maybe why you’re applying to the uni and how you see your future career developing.
