currently doing gcse french in year 10 and i hate it so much- my teacher gets on my nerves, she expects me to get A*s and it’s too much pressure and it’s clear she doesn’t like me. I’ve failed my recent tests for it, I’m having trouble studying as I just can’t remember the work. (ive a bad memory) I loved french in year 7-9 hence why I chose this as a backup subject, joined the class late. (I transferred from PE to French in October ) and it’s much harder and I can’t handle the workload. Could I drop out of this even tho it’s the middle of the year? This one subject has a bad impact on my life would be much better without it

    Any help appreciated thanks🙂

It really depends on your school rules. Is taking a language compulsory?
Also for example in my school you can drop a subject at the end of year 10 only if you, your parents and the teachers agree and if you are doing really bad.

No a language isn’t compulsory but my parents have agreed to let me drop French it’s up to the school now. My teacher was close to reporting me because of my bad grades recently, not exactly sure what’s happening now🤔
