Okay - assuming that you have been working through the year you have two main choices.

1 - learn everything. Generally not an option but some people manage it
2 - target your revision based on previous papers. I’ll explain a bit of the reasoning below...

When designing the modules that make up your degree the module teams identify key learning outcomes that you need to demonstrate in order to pass. Some will be addressed by your ongoing summative assessment (if you have it) and some will be covered in the exam. The trouble is (from the University’s perspective) that writing a good exam (or assessment) is really difficult and the QA process longwinded and expensive. This means that once they have a good exam they tend to reuse it. They may well change some of the specifics (eg use a slightly different case study) but the underpinning questions will be the same.

This is good news because it helps you target your revision by looking at old exam papers, identifying the key themes and then working out model answers - this works particularly well if a group of you are doing it. If you go down this route then the worst that can happen is that you revise a “broad-church” of your course material which is good preparation in itself. The best result though is that you are in a position to ace the exam and already have model answers prepared for the questions you’ll be asked.
