Neighbours

Today at 8:50pm we had a neighbour come round saying they hate students and want to report us to the police because we were being too loud. We had music on but not too loud ... DEFINITELY had it louder many times before???

We’ve lived at the property 2 years and never had troubles before .... they live 3 properties down BUT next door didn’t complain

They threatened to slash our tyres’ for being too loud & then said they would call the police ... very intimidating, would like to know the protocol for this kind of thing??
if they threaten to slash your tyres you should talk to your local police about it that's a threat and also if they do do it then they will be the ones arrested for slashing your tyres
maybe turn the music down slightly if they know you had it on 3 properties over
If they can hear it 3 houses down it is definitely way too loud.

The Police can't/won't do much its more of a Council job. If you can record them making threats it would be good to show the Police this.
If they can hear it three doors down then it's too loud. The fact you've had it on louder before will only mean they are getting progressively more angry. My neighbours keep having parties... the first time we waited it out, the second we complained around 2am... by this point at 10.30 we're kicking up a fuss and threatening to call the police.
