    Everybody in the forces has an ultimate role as a warfighter.

    However, the likelihood and chances of getting involved in it are incredibly remote.

    Having said that, if the idea of being in conflict / in places of potential danger doesn't appeal; don't join the armed forces.

    I've asked for this thread to be moved. There's an armed forces subforum within the careers section which is better suited to these queries.
