    Hey guys,

So I just did a test in class and feel like utter ****. For the duration of the time I've spent in A Levels, I've been getting low marks in Economics due to my question skills. I'm pretty good at the content of the units, but when writing questions I can't ever plan it in exam time and I have trouble following structured answers.

I know it seems like a bit of a ramble, but I just want advice on how to get around it. Any thoughts?

Have you talked to ur teacher about this, if it's just the essay writing. Then it's fixable.

I've talked to my teacher. He's said Ive got excellent topic knowledge (almost 100% on MCQ in another exam) but its my exam technique. Glad you think its fixable though. Any tips?

If it is your exam skills its 100% fixable, I have the same problem as you. I am with Edexcel and I use the revision guide and answer the essay questions in there and then get my teacher to mark it. I find it helps if you make a plan each time of what you are going to write rather than just purely writing the essay.

I dont really know if theres a set structure for the 20 markers but we’ve been told to write four paragraphs with two positives and two negatives and then an evaluation. Add evidence youve found either from the case study or your own examples and make sure you use peeel. What mark do you typically get on your essays or any other questions?

    Not done loads but:

    5 markers = 3/4
    8 markers = I've had 8. I've had 4.
    10 markers = 5/6/7
    12: 6/7/8 marks.
    15: 5-9

I know about the *structure* for each mark (marks for eval. on 4, 6, 8 etc.) but could you share with me your actual STRUCTURE within the question. Say for example a 10 marker. That's a diagram/equation, 2 paragraphs and 2 evaluations. How do you structure your paragraphs? Evaluations? Etc.
