I'm an EU student and have offers for the MSc from Glasgow (Geoinformation Technology & Cartography) and Edinburgh (Earth Observation & Geoinformation Management) and I am totally torn between the two.

I've visited both cities, from this point of view I would decide on Glasgow. Edinburgh is an incredibly beautiful place, but Glasgow is just much more vibrant in my opinion.

Does anyone know more about these two GIS programmes (reputation, infrastructure, staff)? I love cartography and it seems that Glasgow is the only university in the UK with an emphasis on cartography and geovisualization, on the other hand Edinburgh seems to have a very prestigious GIS department.

    Thanks for any help.
