She retweeted a jihadi execution video. What a moron.
http://www.independent.co.uk/news/wo...-a8234486.html
For context: a journalist said something like the Front National and ISIS are basically the same. So she tweeted this in order to point out the atrocities committed by ISIS and how ridiculous it was to compare ISIS and the Front National.
The charge is for distributing gore and propaganda. But it made me wonder, why is it illegal to distribute "terrorist propaganda" if your purpose is to show how bad it is? The state shows equally disturbing content about the holocaust, holodomor, and Bengal famine to children in schools.

I follow the Syrian civil war and have seen loads of ISIS propaganda combat videos, they're an extremely valuable resource for documenting the conflict. A politician retweeting it maybe isn't the smartest thing, but it does worry me a bit that someone can be charged merely for sharing something like that when they're very clearly not trying to actively recruit people or encourage attacks.
Disturbing footage of ISIS' atrocities should not be censored, nor should footage of any other atrocities and human rights abuses. -

Maybe because she is a leader of a nationalist, militaristic, anti-globalist, economically left-wing party that espouses racist views, has broad support from the radical atheist youth, and has a long history of anti-Semitism? -

Ok, let's not not make it personal and pretend it is one of us: somebody watches that video and posts it here. It might contravene the T&Cs in place and be removed on those grounds but... a criminal offence? Should TSR report us to the fuzz?
LePen is on a watchlist, together with so many other people on the so-called far-right. 24/7, the powers to be looking for anything they can deplatform them for. They can have all sorts of mud slung at them, say s""t and you're out. That is where we are headed with all the calls for 'regulation' of social media, the priming process is well under way.Last edited by zhog; 03-03-2018 at 08:20. -

Take out "nationalist" and "militaristic" and you've just described Momentum Labour under Jeremy Corbyn.
Edit: I assume you mean take out "racist views" as well? -

The FN is a nasty party, sadly with a level of support in parts of France that has enabled FN members to be local Mayors and some to be elected to the Assemblee Nationale.

Well yes, take out the bad parts of fascism and it does indeed begin to resemble socialism. But the bad parts of fascism are the things people object to...

Wanting to withdraw from NATO is not imcopatable with fascism. In fact modern fascism is all about reaserting national soverignty that has been lost to globalist forces, of which NATO can be considered one. Now a days it tends to get framed in the context of respecting a countries individual rights.
Ask any centrist slug and they will tell you some horsheoooooo thoery about the hard left and the hard right for sure.
NATO is militaristic, and it has been searching for enemies ever since the end of the Cold War. The fact that the FN would like to withdraw from such an organisation would suggest that they are more anti-war, especially when you consider that FN party members have met with Putin and his circle, and seek to reestablish ties with Russia instead of provoking it.
