Turn the games off and go revise Revising on a phone/computer is a good idea. That’s what I did for my exams last summer. There are so many free apps about these days.

Ahh good taste! (I was expecting you to say Fifa,Fortnite,COD ).

Honestly, Arkham City is amazing, and so is Witcher 2 but I got stuck on a bossfight lol. When I was in year 10 I was playing games nearly everyday tbh AC Revelations, FIFA and COD.

When you say you want to revise what do you have in mind? My advice is to make sure you get your homework done early, and go over your notes. Thats enough for year 10, also revise for end of unit exams.

On the weekends and holidays, if you sleep 8 hours that means you have 8 hours to revise (which is too much for year 10 imo) and then 8 hours to do whatever.

I think its up to you to find out how to exactly spend your time. Try not to think of games too much, but aslong as it doesn't distract you then theres no problems

If you use consoles you could give them to parents/carers and only take them back at weekends? On a computer you can uninstall games or block the websites, or put the files in a locked folder and have a parent/carer set the password. Phone/tablet apps can be uninstalled or removed from the homescreen. You'd have to revise to fill the time. My school likes revision timetables if you can stick to it. Make your revision interesting, get some highlighters/coloured pens if you can and try to do things you like with revision, like draw character profiles for your english texts if you like art.

You could also try 'spaced learning' which is where you revise really hard for 10-30 mins, then a take a 10 min break doing something completely different (i.e. a game) then do another 10-30 mins revision and repeat until you finish.

I'd try and get into a game that has an end, a story.
So try to stay away from addictive multiplayer.
Once you finish the game (Fast presuming you like it so much) you won't wanna touch it or any for a while (that's what worked for me with the Witcher 3) Or if you do, set it on a high difficulty level so playing it will be frustrating rather than rewarding/interesting.
If that fails, study your favourite subject.
If you don't have one you particularly like available to you, produce a small project on a subject you wish you could take.
this might produce small results in the short-term but it will put you in a good habit for the long-term.
When you wake up, decide how long you will play today (Start off with say, 3 hours) and decrease it everyday.
Allocate study days and game days, even if in the beginning there are more game days. Just make sure you decrease game days and increase study days over time.
    Don't rush.

Start doing horse stance 3 times a day and meditate for 30min daily. If you continue like this, by the time you're 20 you will be on your way to being a millionaire, have all the hoes and good grades and nice cars and life will be better than the life of that prick you control in GTA. But of course, if you're a parasite you won't manage to do this.

I was the same when I was your age and I was predicted all A*s but was gaming 6-7 hours a day often from 4pm to 1am and more on weekends. Needless to say I massively under-performed at GCSEs and only received one A* and then just As and Bs. I've compensated for it now but if I would have put even slightly more effort into GCSE instead of being complacent and resting on my laurels I'd have been in better stead when picking university options now.

Don't be like me. Games are inconsequential. I don't even play them now. Defer gratification and at minimum set aside 2 hours a day to revise.

I once went through this phase. It was with Minecraft, hypixel. I found literally having to get myself banned the only option out of it. I now use my time more wisely, and like it better. If I was ever given a way to play it again though, I probably would. Honestly, the only way for me was to completely eradicate any possible way of playing it. Id advise if its that bad to completely trade in the game/s. I certainly like it better now. People can say to limit yourself too, but I never found that to help. It used to always be on my mind.

Arkham city was amazing. Then a close second for Arkham origins. I know it was a different company working on it but I really enjoyed it
