I'm 16 and was provoked in a fight and it ended up in me stabbing the man in the leg then I skipped my court date,, I was wondering how long my sentamce would be ?

You're in for a good time.

GBH carries a sentence of up to 7 years for over 18's, and up to 4 years for under 18's.

The fact that you skipped the court date means the court will be a lot less likely to hear any bleeding heart sob story you had in mind.

Let me say that again, in case it hasn't registered properly.

If you thought the court would be lenient on you because you're young, you didn't start the fight, you were scared, you're probably right. You would probably have only been looking at a suspended sentence. However, you forfeited that when you didn't show up. You now are looking likely to face the maximum that they can hand down. Contempt of court is not taken likely.

Stop stabbing people and when you're summoned to court, turn up you idiot.
