    Do loads of past papers.

Y11_Maths made a site www.jmaths.simplesite.com and it has a bunch of really hard Grade 9 questions. Also http://m4ths.com/grade-9-gcse.html has really hard Grade 9 questions. I find both sites really helpful

The only way you can improve in math is by constant practice. If you're extremely good at some other subject , allocate part of the time you give to study that subject to math. That way you could improve your math

The other replies I second as well as check using mark scheme. Getting the grades is about playing the exam system, not actual proficiency or intelligence.

make sure you're looking at the mark schemes. The route to a level 9 is showing vey clearly how you got to that answer. If you're good at maths, which with a 7 you are, then focus on giving the examiner what they want; clear strategy and consistency through out your working out.

Practice. Make sure you gave done every past paper 1,2,3 times and then do them again. Work out which bits you are not scoring as well on then do as many exercises on that as possible.Make sure to correct any wrong answers using the mark scheme and if you still don't understand, don't be afraid to ask you teacher.

The two top tips I tell every student who wants a grade 9:

Do as many specimen/practice papers as you can across all exam boards - this might help
Get the CGP grade 9 practice textbook and do all the questions e.g. this one for Edexcel
