Just looking for a general list of items that are essential for living in university halls, I know it's early to start preparing but I'd rather be extremely organised to reduce any stress when moving. Thank you.

Pots and pans, a kettle and toaster if you have them spare, two sets of bedding, food for a week or so while you still have parents to buy it for you (get ready to eat a LOT of eggs, beans, and rice). 12 plastic cups and a ping-pong ball, a laptop if you have one, a TV if you have one (don't bother with a TV license - they can see what building has a TV but not what room in the building, so they never check student accomodation for unlicensed TVs). Cigarettes and a lighter if you smoke, and if you don't smoke get ready to resist a lot of temptation.

Don't forget your phone charger either. Not that I did, of course.
