I'm totally going for Endcliffe, though I haven't read it yet :yep: There's a couple of threads around that make anything non-Endcliffe sound totally awful! :colonhash:
Nah wouldn't waste a vote on them - just go for lib dem.

Hot new beau?! Pardon.

Okay have not got pack through and I'm leaving Monday early morning so probably won't have it by then. What does it say in the pack about like erm Endcliffe, and the new village Ranmoor which is probably similar to Endcliffe.

I know the price of Endcliffe (£4,360.02 (£103.81 per week)), but is there anything in the pack please that is worth knowing? Or kinda vital please?

Accept your offers Owen? You applied for more than one course or something?

How the test go Keiron?

To be honest it doesn't say very much, just gives the very basics, e.g. number of students that can live there and that it offers catered, self-catered, nothing much else. All the rest of it is photos and quite a few pages of interviews with students who live in the halls.

All it says about Ranmoor is that there'll be over 1000 rooms with 'ensuite, studio and family accomodation'
Ah okay thanks  Useful brochure then.

Not sure whether to do Ranmoor or Endcliffe for first choice. Ranmoor will be 1000 so will be smaller, perhaps more community feel? Some people love the whole community thing. Shame it's so expensive. It's a bit further away, but the walk should still only be like 20mins or so. Endcliffe is 15-20min walk. I don't mind about the distance really though to be fair. Decisions, decisions.

So most people are applying to Endcliffe then?

Ello Folks,

I was one of the final year students who gave the Japanese talk at the SEAS open day on 18th Feb - the guy who came in late because I *really* wanted my free cookie and coffee.

I'm glad you found the open day helpful and it seemed to convince a few of you to come to our lovely little university! I'll be at the next open day as well (18th March - which is my birthday too!) for anyone who couldn't make it last time.

I did say at the talk that if you had any questions at all after the talk finished to get in touch and I guess TSR is just as good as any other way to do so! The same goes for anyone who didnt come to the open days too because I do think its good to speak to some of the actual students about the course rather than just the lecturers.

So yeah, if you have any questions about Japanese at Sheffield, the uni itself, the study year abroad or anything totally unrelated, please don't hesitate to ask!

Hope to see you all at the next SEAS Open day!

I remember seeing you there monching on the cookie. I can't believe (..well I can but you know what I mean) how many people are left in your course year lol.
Listening to you guys was really cool and very positive. I was the guy who asked about the Alien registration card.
Thanks for everything:biggrin:

Take mueeeee!
Fiji was brill. New Zealand now, not so much Fiji time. Everyone applied for accommodation? I'm applying by post and getting my sister to fill out the form is hard. What is our faculty? Is it just 'languages'?

How is everyone?

I think it's "School of East Asian Studies" because i had to fill something like that out on my English proffiency test thing for Sheffield and I put that.
I'm all set for accomodation @ Opal 3 in the city.
Wow always wanted to visit NZ, maybe some day . Are you still coming to Kansai during summer? Let me know yeah
Ack! Still waiting for an initial response from them :s-smilie:
