I’m hoping to go into dental hygiene but apparently very very few men work as hygienists... will I struggle to get into uni/work because I’m not a woman? Is there a stigma surrounding men doing these roles?

not at all mate! Do what you want to do, forget the stigmas.
Just out of curiosity, what made you choose dental hygiene over dentistry?

Just can’t knack a-level chemistry... I know that’s practically needed for all dentistry courses. Unless you know of any?

unfortunately, majority of dental schools do require chemistry, however I know plymouth require Biology, one other science (from chem physics maths or physchology) and any third A level.
you could also apply for BDS (dentjstry) with a foundation year, although these are very competitive and is a gruelling six year course.
Dont let chemistry put you off pal its possible

Why not go to dental school and do a BDS? Pros: more responsibility, better pay, more specialities. Cons: gruelling course, length of training.
If you don't have chemistry you can enrol in distance learning.
