I have an assessment day and I am required to prepare a 10 minute presentation without the aid of a computer-based presentation, such as Microsoft Powerpoint.

Has anyone done anything like this before and could you just drop a few tips for me please?

Indeed. Give your presentation and don't have any slides. To be fair, slides are just a distraction away from you. Speak about something you are passionate about and speak from the heart. Make some queue cards if that is your thing. 10 minutes is not that long. Don't move around the room and speak slowly. Leave gaps in your presentation to allow the audience to absorb what you are talking about.

    Good luck!

PS - remember - say what you are going to say, say it, then say what you have just said.

What your presentation on and who will you there? Powerpoint slides print outs are a personal choice . Some prefer and others don't. Main thing is you know your subject matter and keep practicing. Show your passion and enthusiasm. As the previous person says, 10 mins will just fly by. Good luck and let us know how it went.

The presentation will be about the company, jet engines (gas turbine engines and more specifically, turbofan engines) and then the company's aims and challenges.
