Hi,
I know there are quite a few similar posts but none have similar grades to mine, so I though I’d ask. I don’t plan on applying to GCSE heavy unis, but more relaxed ones like Queen Mary, Belfast or HYMS
My GCSEs are:
Eng Lit - 8
Eng Lang - 8
Biology - A
Chemistry - A*
Physics - B
Maths - B
History - A
Geography - B
German - C
RE - A
Thanks!

They’re good but some unis allocate points to your grades and use this to shortlist applicants.
Some want your best 8, others, like Birmingham ask for your 3 sciences, maths, English language, English Lit and 2 others. As Kyber Ninja said, apply logically - so to unis which don’t look at GCSEs like Imperial, Kings (to an extent) QMUL..Posted on the TSR App. Download from Apple or Google Play -

Yes those GCSEs are perfectly okay for medicine. As long as you avoid unis which are REALLY GCSE heavy you're fine.
