The ratio for water to glue in a mixture is 8:5. There is 1500ml more water than glue. What is the total volume of the mixture?

    Thanks

Well you know 3 extra portions is equivalent to 1500ml. Use this to solve for the size of one portion and then work out how much mixture you have altogether
