I am currently in year 12 contemplating whether I should take the EPQ. I am planning on studying Dentistry at university.

Are there any universities that lower their offers if you have done the EPQ? To what extent does the EPQ actually benefit your dental school application?

No, it doesn't lower offers. Only benefit is you could reflect your EPQ on a dental topic to talk about at interview.

I would say it is very beneficial - I got a lowered offer from Sheffield for AAB from AAA because of my EPQ plus I know of someone who didn’t get the grades required for dentistry at Liverpool last year but still got in as they achieved an A star the EPQ. It also shows your interest in the subject and gives you soo much to talk about at an interview at a higher university level showing you are capable of the demands of the course Hope that helps

You can get lower offers without the EPQ.
