Could somebody help me with analysing poetry, then using the information gathered to create a good answer?

Is this in regards to the poetry paper as a whole or a particular section within it?

Pretty much all of it, I think the unseen poetry part will prove to be the hardest though

I recommend this book it includes all the possible poems given (except for the unseen poetry) analysed then it’s just a matter of remembering one.

In regards to formulating an answer use the term smile:

    Structure
    Meaning
    Imagery
    Language
    Effect

This helps when making a comparison between two poems.

For analysis of the unseen poetry it become more difficult as you rely purely on your own knowledge of techniques so familiarise yourself with them
For example juxtaposition, colloquial language, hyperboles and enjambment it will make it easier to identify them

Hope this is some type of help and good luck with your Exams!!
