# How to get an A* in edexcel A-level maths? watch

1. Do you have to get at least 90 in both C3 and C4? Or would a 180 average across them both get one too? I've heard both from different people.
Thanks!

It is a total of 180 for C3 and C4. If you got 100 in C3 and 80 in C4, you can still get the A* assuming you have got 480 UMS overall.
