I'm in Year 11 and I'm stressing out over my reading for English Language. On my last mock I got a 5 in my reading and an 8 in my writing which overall came to a 6 and this annoyed me so much cause I tried really hard. I really need to improve my reading but I have a hard job interpreting texts (I'm awful at literature too). Any tips?

I got 8 at GCSE in Language. Just learn all the techniques and try and find them in texts that you read. Also try to read good descriptive writers so you can easily find techniques and you will recognise them more easily.
Do all the specimen papers and past papers. Use all of those texts and analyse them. List all the literature techniques you can think of and try and find them in the texts.
Hope this helps
