the problem question is as follows:
a lady announces that she will give 23 of her paintings to her brother, a month later she gives him 3 of the paintings. the rest are in art gallaries for the time being and one is in her workshop. a year later, she dies, and her brother wants to know if he is entitled to all the paintings.

first of all, is this a gift? the scenario does not mention whether she gives the paintings to someone else on trust etc. second, if it is a gift, is the gift invalid or could you say her giving 3 of the paintings is symbolic of ALL the paintings and thus the brother is entitled to them all?

    I would appreciate any help!
