So I’m planning on applying to medicine and I understand that it’s extremely competitive so I have a high chance of getting rejected everywhere that I apply to . I may have to re sit some subjects if I don’t do well but if I don’t need to do that what should I do? I was thinking of either taking a gap year whilst studying French and doing some more work experience or if I got accepted to my alternative I could go do that and then apply again to medicine and try to switch !?
Regarding to alternatives, I know that I can do medical pharmacology and once graduated go and do medicine but what could my other back ups be that include healthcare and interactions with patients ?

You could apply for a foundation year, and then try to reapply the year after, but then you could potentially get rejected then too so it’s kinda risky.
Other backups that have slightly lower grade boundaries are things like optometry, pharmacy, audiology, radiography.

Honestly, do not worry about that right now! You just need to focus on getting the best grades possible in your Y12 exams so you can get great predictions next year. Tbh, a lot of people end up on a gap year if they get rejected where you can do work experience and things. Beyond that you can do a different undergraduate course and go for biomed. Foundation years are unlikely as they often have criteria like you didn't take the right A Levels or they're widening participation.

Like I said, don't worry about that yet. Just focus on getting the grades and then getting work experience if possible
