My team: (4-3-3)

J.Pickford, D.Rose, J.Stones, J.Tarkowski, K.Walker, D.Alli, H.Macguire, A.Oxlade-Chmaberlain, R.Sterling, H.Kane, J.Lingard

DM you only have Dier. But Macguire has been in such good form he is a good passer, defender and can go forward at times. I reckon he would play well in the DM position.

Not Henderson or Hart but somehow they'll make their way to the starting XI.

I don't think I'd want Maguire or Tarks as a DM though.

That team would struggle to get out of the group, in fact we will in general, just have to hope Kane's on form we're a quarters outfit tops.

Great idea. Lots of defensive cover in that midfield.

On what basis would you start Alli? He's been atrocious for a season and a half now.

Wilshere will probably do his leg in like he always does.

Cahill over Maquire any day way more experience

Maybe because Alli's better than any of our other options and because Cahill is absolutely ****, been carried by the likes of Terry and Azpilicueta for years.

The likes of Hart, Rose, Cahill, Stones, Barkley, Lallana and Henderson aren't playing regularly. Most of those names aren't even getting minutes off the bench. If Southgate keeps to his word he's going to have a serious problem.

Barring injury i'd expect the squad to be:

Pickford, Butland, Pope
Walker, Gomez, Maguire, Stones, Jones, Cahill, Bertrand, Rose
Dier, Wilshere, Henderson, Delph, Sterling, Chamberlain, Alli, Lingard, Lallana
Vardy, Kane, Rashford

Pickford, Walker, Gomez, Maguire, Stones, Bertrand, Dier, Wilshere, Sterling, Lingard, Kane

I would have 2 months ago, but he's not been playing lately.

In a 433/4231 there's a big problem as to who plays LW. Which is why Ryan Sessegnon is surely in with a chance.

I'd go something like:

Pickford
Walker Stones Cahill Rose
Chamberlain Henderson Milner
Sterling Kane Lingard

England don' really have a good defensive midfielder, so I wouldn' bother. I'd just use Liverpool's midfield 3 and go out and press teams as intensely as possible like they do at club level.

I wonder what the English team reaches this time at the tournament. Considering the last two torunaments, so WC 2014 and EURO 2016, I have no expectations, but after the desaster in 2014 and 2016, it can just change for better.

Too raw. Being shown up by Diabate (although diabate is gonna be quality, guaranteed) and lacking a final ball. Got potential but he's mostly flattering to deceive.

Fair enough, you see more of him than me.

Looks a talent though.

Hodgson needs to have some balls and drop the usual big names.

Butland
Walker Maguire Stones Rose
Dier Wilshere
AOC Alli Sterling
Kane
