Year 12s: what will be the first way you research your future options? >>

Maths AS??

Hi,

I’m currently doing three AS Levels after dropping my fourth because I was failing/completely out of touch with the course. I had the opportunity to self teach maths and take the Feb mock. I didn’t do too well in this but they let me choose whether to take it or not. I was advised against it but given the freedom to if i wished, or to take it next year alongside the subjects i’m taking into year 13.

Would it be better to:
1) Take the AS this year and with tutoring hope for the best- most likely AAAC?
2) Take the AS next year and get AAA in year 12

I want to study english- will it impact my uni chances if i take it next year? I was thinking i could take a gap year and then at least i’m applying having completed the 4 AS-levels and 3 A-Levels.
