I'm a girl and I think I've fallen for my male friend.
But he only sees me as a friend. He constantly talks about other girls to me, and it kills me a bit inside.
I can't help comparing myself to these other girls, and how I don't look like them, and how he would never see me as attractive or more than a platonic friend. When he talks about hot/pretty girls I get really jealous and upset.
I've tried to talk to him less and distance myself. But I end up missing him.
What do I do? Can I be friends with him? How can I stop liking him so much?

Either let him know, which might end up back firing, so won’t lie, but if you can maybe distance it a bit 🤷🏽*♂️it’s very hard tbh, sorry I’m useless, I’m normally in the same boat as you, but I just keep it to myselfLast edited by LawAnon; 03-03-2018 at 22:32. Reason: TDA Post Edit

What I would suggest for the OP is to be subtle try and make it obvious without having to say and see what his response is.

This is a tricky 1, but if you are both reasonably mature and close enough you could mention to him that it bothers you when he chats about other girls - if he truly is your friend he should respect your feelings enough to stop bringing them up when you are within his company.
