Question For f(x)=3x 1, find f(f(x))
What is the sign, positive or negative, so +1 or -1?

f(f(x)) means that you put the term 3x+1 or 3x-1 in x of the function:

f(f(x)) = f(3x+1) = 3(3x+1) +1 = 9x+4 or

f(f(x)) = f(3x-1) = 3(3x-1) -1 = 9x-4
