Wondering if anyone has any experience with the Nexplanon implant? I have had it in from last April after having my second son in January. I have always had pretty regular periods on it usually in & around the same date each month. In January my period was longer than normal it lasted 10 days. After this I had an extremely stressful month with severe health anxiety and also a death of a close friend. My period was due around 23rd Feb but it never came and still hasn’t. There’s no way I could be pregnant. Could this be due to the stress I had or would it be something else. I am a huge hypochondriac so all advice welcome .. thanks 😊

Hi I've had it a little over two years. The implant, like other methods of contraception, can cause irregular periods. In my case, it started 2 years in. If it's causing you concern, do pop back to see who fitted it, but you aren't the only one! A late/missed period can definitely also be down to stress and it's understandable that you've been feeling so much stress recently with everything that's been going on, but it's important to try to relax as much as you can because it helps keep you healthy. The general rule of thumb is that if you aren't pregnant and have missed 3 periods in a row, see your GP
