    Does anyone have any good tips that will help me get to a grade 8 or 9 e.g what to include how to structure or whay you did to get a grade 8 or 9

    I find Language a lot easier (and do a lot better in it than Lit).

    What I use:
    - Mr Bruff

    You have to:
    - analyse word classes (nouns, adjective, verbs) and their affects and why they were picked
    - analyse types of nouns e.g. abstract, etc.
    - analyse techniques including alliteration, repetition, rhetoric, emotive language, statistics, triplet, exaggeration/hyperbole, dialogue, metaphors/personification (and extended ones), cacophony, assonance, enjambment, sibilance, similes, jargon, sarcasm, irony, dramatic irony (techniques for both of them)
    - analyse effect on reader and author's purpose (why they'd want to do use a particular word instead of an alternative one)
    - don't be formulaic and follow PEETZRASCAL or whatever; be fluid
    - context everywhere for lit (don't just add it in the end)
    - talk about content, tone, form, audience response (both older and current)
    - talk about structure; particular ones e.g. cyclical structure, talk about rhyme schemes; iambic pentameter; trochaic tetrameter; long/short sentences and shift form sentence variety (e.g complex compound to simple sentences; analyse the effect of this), variety of paragraphs and shift in paragraphs (and its effect), shift in focus, themes, etc
