If you parents were Fred and Rose, would it still be "surely your family comes first ?"

Hahahaha true but what’s she supposed to have done that warrants it in this case?

the Wests' children were remarkably loyal to their appalling parents.

She was given 6 months to save up and find a home.
If she was on a zero hour contract how did she afford to rent prior to him being successful.
She has a history of causing issues with the clubs he plays at.

Seems to be a horrible woman who has a successful son now distancing himself from her and trying to make a quick buck blackening his name.

[controversy]Typical socialist view... You're doing well for yourself, as you are talented/successful/hardworking (delete as applicable). I'm not. Give me some of your money.[/controversy]

even so she is his Mum.... he grew up inside her; he should buy her a flat so she can move out of the crate.

"When Ainsley’s career took off he initially paid the rent so he, Jule and Cordi could live in a three-bedroom home near Arsenal’s training centre in Hertfordshire. But in March 2015 Jule had a bust-up with staff there during a meeting to discuss Ainsley’s future. She was accused of clashing with the club’s chief negotiator **** Law and arrested amid claims the row had turned violent. Jule was released and police took no action."

I know nothing about football or this man, but this part tells me everything. The boy clearly did care about his mother initially and paid for luxury accommodation for her, so he's not heartless as the mother and the press are trying to make out. If this part is true and my mother did those things that could have jeopardised my career, then I sure as hell wouldn't have anything to do with her. Why the hell should he look after her if they no longer have a relationship and she did those things?

She's clearly running to the press for the 15 minutes of fame because she's at least somewhat vindictive. I'm sure the money from the story will get her a nicer place to live, but in the process she's lost a relationship with her son whilst he goes on to be successful and happy. No sympathy for her.

Going to be honest, it sounds like the guy tried his absolute best to help her and it just got to the point where he had to emotionally distance himself from her. The fact she is trying to publicly shame her son suggests that she perhaps isn't the nicest or most caring towards him anyway. The guy also funds a house for his brother so there seems to be a definite sense of family loyalty there.

Title kinda reminds me of the maths problems you used to get in high school. If your mum had 5 apples and john took 3, how many light years does it take to get to Uranus using only a nintento DS?
