    Hi guys,

I'm applying for uni in a few months and am trying to decide between Birmingham, Nottingham, and York for English. I have already decided my other four. This would be as an insurance option btw. Based on anything – offers/campus/city/course, which should I apply to (and why)?

    Thanks!!!!

Difficult to say. You haven't said what the grade requirements are, how important nightlife is to you, what kind of environment you like etc. They're all good unis and will just suit different people so perhaps give more info and we'll be able to give you better advice.

Thanks for your reply! I'm from a big city so a big, dynamic, vibrant place, preferably with recreational arts and culture, is very important to me. Nice accommodation is a big plus for me and I'd definitely like some decent nightlife, but it's not my deciding priority

That probably rules out York. Birmingham has better nightlife than Nottingham and is obviously a bigger city but Nottingham is nice as well. I can't speak for accommodation but I'm sure if you do some deeper digging on TSR there should already be threads about it. Best bet is to visit the cities and see for yourself but I suppose if it's just insurance it might not seem as necessary.
