    Hi,

I'm starting University in September and my Grandparents have saved up enough money to pay for my first year of tuition fees, and want to know what's the best way they can do this.

What would be the best way for them to pay for it straight away, or would it be better to save the money until after University? Also who would they pay the money to/when if they do pay for my first year tuition fees?

    Thank you

    Hi Izzy,

If your Grandparent's are wishing to pay your tuition fees for your first year, they maybe best to pay them directly to your university. This maybe a better option that waiting until the end of the year and paying Student Finance the money to clear the Tuition Fee loan, as this will have accrued interest since the fees were paid.

    Thanks

    Louise
