    Hi all,

I have recently accepted a place to study on the Primary PGCE course (with Humanities specialism) at the University of Exeter starting in September 2018.

Just thought it would be nice to chat to some other people who will be starting PGCE's at Exeter! What course will you be doing? Also, what are you planning to do for accommodation?

Hi - sorry you haven't had a response to this yet. I'm just going to bump the thread in the hope that someone sees this and can help

Hi! I have accepted an offer on the primary teaching and learning pathway PGCE at Exeter! I will be living at home during the first term and will most likely get short term accommodation for the remainder of the year depending on my placements Danielle

Hello, it's nice to hear from someone else on the course!

Ah that's fair enough - are you local to Exeter then? I have been looking at short term accommodation for the first term but there doesn't seem to be much about yet, it's possibly still a bit early.

Are you looking forward to starting in September?

Yes, I live within commuting distance so it frees me up to move about if I need to for placements quite easily! I’m sure you’ll find something in the next couple months. Are you coming from very far?
I’m quite nervous but very excited! All I hear from people is how hard the course is which isn’t really helping!! How about you?

I'm also looking and finding it difficult. if you want to live with another PGCE student I'm willing! It might be easier to find accommodation with more than than one of us.

Ah that's good, hopefully you might even be placed near Exeter and then not have to move! I'm moving down from Gloucestershire so will need to find something, but I'm now planning to hold off for a little while until we find out our provisional placements.

I am excited but nervous too! It's been a few years since I graduated from my undergraduate degree so I'm a little worried about getting back into the swing of writing essays etc. I'm sure it will be fine though!

Hi there, it is really difficult isn't it! I'm actually planning to hold off my accommodation search for a little while, probably until we find out our provisional placements which I think is in July. If you find anywhere though do feel free to get back in touch if you need another person!

That makes sense! Ah, that’s tough, I’m sure you’ll get back into it easily! What was your degree in? I’m doing Education Studies.
