I technically have a long term condition but I decided I don't want to go through the trouble of applying to DSA. Now I can't find a way to cancel it and it haunts my student finance TO DO LIST.

Can I just ignore it and proceed to get student finance or is it compulsory that I complete it before I can get student finance?

It's not compulsory, no, but you may get bugged about it further down the line. Ring them up and explain the situation if it's bothering you that much.

But if you do have a long-term health condition that may hinder your education, I'd suggest that you think twice about snubbing any potential help.

    Hi 4qAee2,

You can just ignore this, this won't have any impact on your main application.

If you do want to have the request removed, you can write a short covering letter just requesting we remove this request.

    Kind regards,

    John.
