# How do you work out this question asap watch

1. There are 495 coins in a bottle.
1/3 OF THE COINS ARE £1 COINS
124 of the coins are 50p coins
The rest of the coins are 20 p

Work out the total value of the 495 coins

1/3 of 495 is 165. So 165 coins are £1 coins....So we have £165

124 coins multiplied by £0.50 is £62

495-(124+165)=206...so 206 coins are 20p...
Therefore 206 multiplied by £0.20 is £41.20

Add them altogether to get total value....
£165+£62+£41.20=£268.20

The probability that a new fridge has a fault is 0.015
What is the probability that a new fridge does not have fault?
4. 1-0.015=0.985

Fault is opposite of not have fault so you just subtract it from 1 as there are only two events possible.
