Is government master loan of £10'000 per year or the whole payment?

I'm applying for my masters and know the government now have a loan scheme of a max of around £10'000, however I'm confused as to whether this is per each year of your course or for the whole course?

It’s a bit more than £10k but that’s the loan for the entire course. If your course lasts more than a year then payment is split over 2 years.

Hi Emma,

Postgraduate loans are £10280.00 for applications made in 2017/2018, if you are starting a new course in September the amount is £10609.00, this will be split depending on the length of the course, and is paid in three installments.
