So there’s this guy who I’ve been leading on for about a year and a half. I had no idea until recently. Then at a party I got way too drunk and I don’t remember anything but now he’s my boyfriend. He’s so lovely but he’s really affectionate and over the top. I don’t really like to talk about feelings and it’s making me uncomfortable and I’m starting to have panic attacks again. I have no idea what to do because I don’t want to hurt him.

Pull the plaster off earlier, otherwise his feelings will need up more. Another option would be to show him why he wouldn't want to be with you.

Why if you like him, do you not want to be with him?

Your feelings matter more than his, if it's causing you to have panic attacks again then I think you need to be honest with him. You don't need to be horrible or brutal, just let him know that it's not for you and that you are sorry.
