    Also, don't title this thread "Guns serve no purpose in civilised society" and then act as though we are presenting a strawman of your position.

    Nobody is arguing that everyone should have a gun regardless of nature/personality/training, and if this entire debate is meant to be about that, then you are wasting your time.
