It really depends if the note style suits you for learning. Personally I don't find mind maps useful for revision and just don't really like them but I know many people find them really useful as I say its personal preference.

The notes there look good and detailed and it looks like you've emphasized what you think/have been told is important so all in all they look good. Just ensure they have all the relevant content.

One note i do have actually is maybe be less monochromatic. If you're starting a new section within a topic use a different colour pen, i think it just helps prevent your notes from looking like a big slab of text and blurring altogether and putting you off. You don't have to use a whole rainbow of colours, i usually just alternate between black and blue.

If I were you, I would focus on testing but not past papers. You can quite easily find good testing sites online - Seneca Learning, Quizlet, EducationQuizzes - and they will mean you can test a topic really extensively but not have the pressure of past exam qus. Also, there are a limited number of past exam papers, so better saving these for closer to the real thing!
By doing lots of testing, you'll be able to discover if your notes are effective for you, if they cover enough of the syllabus in a clear enough way etc

how about doing the end of unit tests on the AQA books would that be
useful? problem would be to find the answers and write it down in that small space wish they left some space somewhere

Yea think that would be very useful! Just as many questions as you can find, basically, so use the textbooks but also try and find resources beyond it.

Also for space issues - just clip / staple an extra piece of paper into the book with your answers in?
