So I am currently in year 12, but for a while I have been thinking about redoing the year. This is because my school had high expectations for the subjects I wanted to do but I was under the impression that as an internal the entrance requirements would be lower ( I was told this by my form tutor), there was a mix up and it turned out she was wrong. I had to rush pick my 2 of my options without fully knowing what I was doing. In hindsight I realised that this wasn’t the best option and there are a number of schools in my area that have lower requirements that I have the grades for that I could’ve gone to. But as I was very rushed I didn’t know these were options. These schools have around the same achievement grades so it isn’t that it is any worse. I find these subjects that I’m doing quite tedious and not very challenging ( we have almost finished or have already finished the AS course for my subjects and I am getting consistent good grades), I would really like to retake the year and do the subjects I wanted to do. I have contacted schools and they have told me that I have to wait till July or August. If I don’t get into these schools should I go to a college? As there’s is a fairly good one near me. This is something I really want to do and am passionate about I have thought about a future with these subjects and I am happy with the plan I have with them. I would like to know whether anyone has experience with this and if it is a good idea. If I don’t get into the schools should I just carry on these a levels that I’m not really liking or should I consider the college. I am pretty serious about thins as I have already began preparing for one of the subjects I want to do next year.

If you find schools that will take you.
If you have cleared it with your mum, then that is fine.
What subjects are you doing and what do you wish to do?
