I am really struggling with coming up with ideas for my exam project in y13 art that aren't cliché or obvious. My theme is weather, and I do photography and animation work.(I am not a painter or fine artist). I've been looking into the work of Pissarro and Turner, as well as storm chasers like Jim Reed. I'm thinking about doing a photographic series involving umbrellas, but it feels so clichéd. Help??

I would have thought animation would lend itself well to a weather theme? There's lots of ways movement and mood could show the weather (beyond just the obvious). There's a lot more to weather than just rain!

There's also a whole bunch of artists you could look at beyond the obvious (five minutes on the womensart twitter account came up with:
    https://twitter.com/womensart1/statu...28219738841090 (printmaking)
    https://twitter.com/womensart1/statu...78991149641728 (sculpture)
    https://twitter.com/womensart1/statu...77635089289216 (painting)
    https://twitter.com/womensart1/statu...09197539880960 (videos and installations)
    https://twitter.com/womensart1/statu...08073578950656 (painting)
    https://twitter.com/womensart1/statu...95637379534848 (painting)
and there's always https://artuk.org/discover/artworks/...weather/page/2 and https://artsandculture.google.com/search?q=weather (SO MANY weather vanes!))
