I have made the decision that I don't want to go to University but I am worried that I won't get a nice girlfriend for some reason I have the idea that all nice/pretty girls go to University.

And also, would not having a degree put a girl with a degree off?

    Please advise me...

Untrue plus university girls eventually graduate.
Do well in your posy 16 exams so you have options and think about turning yourself into someone who a nice/pretty girl will want to be with.

So it is a silly question? To be honest I knew it was haha it’s just that I’m thinking of doing a higher apprenticeship once I leave sixth form but was a little worried about not finding a girlfriend for some reason and I was feeling like a girl who goes to university wouldn’t go out with me since I didn’t go to university.

It's definitely easier to meet girls at uni but a lot of people come out of uni single and manage to find partners other ways. Also a judgemental girl who won't go out with you just because you didn't go to uni is the kind of girl to stay away from.

Nope not everyone is an academic snob plus if you get your own life sorted out job, personality etc then not having a degree wouldnt prevent you finding a nice gf .

Having a drive, ambition, and a 'get up and go' attitude is more attractive to me than academic credentials. I've dated guys who don't even have a GCSE yet have made something great out of their lives and/or are working towards things constantly; they are motivating and inspiring (and for me at least, that is attractive regardless of if what he is doing is bringing in tons of cash or if he's a voluntary worker- just doing SOMETHING with passion, is attractive). I've also dated (briefly) one guy with a PhD in Physics who was just the opposite and didn't go anywhere in his life or do anything with his amazing, door opening degree.

Just wanted to add something else here... my partner (who i lost to a brain tumour sadly ) was uneducated. He left school at 15 and started working in a factory with zero qualifications, absolutely nothing. Fast forward quite some time and he became a self taught computer whizz and spent the rest of his life programming software for a living, working for himself, working as a consultant (he got to travel the country solving problems other programmers at the time couldn't, software run by councils and banks), and owning a number of businesses that were a success. He was extremely interesting because he had done so much with his life and we had so much to share with one another (I also work in IT), and he had a unique perspective on things that other people didn't know about because he was so deep into what his little specialism was.

Thank You so much for your reply, I feel so much better. I guess a girl who would refuse to date me because I don't have a degree is probably not the type of girl I'd want to be with.

Oh my! All sorts of people from all sorts of backgrounds go to uni! If that is your worry you are being a bit stupid! Do not ruin your future over something like this! Go to uni, meet a girl when you are ready, live happily ever after.

Glad i was able to help. You are absolutely right, it's not worth being with someone who will judge you based on something so unimportant. Also, as you get older, a degree or education becomes less and less important and people tend to take you on / judge you based on what you have actually done with your life rather than what you did at school/uni, both in work and in life generally.

More immediately though, if you are working instead of being a full time student this may end up working in your favour as you will appear stable and financially independent, especially if you are looking for a serious relationship. As always, just be careful of financial leeches (had a few of those myself, it sucks).

Hello, if you want to have a nice girlfriend then you just need a good social life, a good high paying job, confidence, good body (hit gym), passionate/driven regarding your job and status. You don't need university to fulfil this. Most university girls are actually more into lecturers than students! I'm being serious. Why? because they are passionate about what they do, have status and are paid well (so financially secure). I never used to understand this phenomena until I did some research into the female psyche. The more areas you fulfil, the more attractive girls you will attract. If you don't believe me look at people like Zac Efron, how many of these areas does he fulfil and coincided with the females he attracts. But just be on your purpose and focus on self improvement and women will notice that and gravitate towards you.

lol what? are you asian or something?? last time I checked women still chose their boyfriends on personality, looks and character. education is nice but its more like the icing on a cake rather than a necessity. plus if she hasn't been to uni herself then shes got no place having it as a requirement from her boyfriend.

Decent social life is all you need. Pretty and/or nice girls can be found anywhere if you shop around a bit. Ones that have gone to uni will still like you provided you're not a complete tool and/or a waste of space, as with all other girls.
