    Hi,

Currently in the process of applying for Drexel University in Philadelphia to validate my master's degree at Aston University. I have a nomination from the university so all is good there, just slightly confused on the application to Drexel.

Bit of background: I am English-born and English is my only spoken language. My undergraduate was in Social Anthropology and now I study Marketing.

The Drexel application asks for a TOEFL (English language proficiency test) but as I am English I was just wondering if this is necessary. I have high English GCSE grades if this is any consolation.

Also, the application states that I need to submit a transcript. A transcript of what is not specified. I would submit my undergraduate degree transcript, although it is not necessarily in a relevant discipline. My Drexel application is due in a month, my master's degree (inc dissertation) does not finish until I would be actually studying at Drexel - so no transcript for it.

Obviously I will be emailing the university to double check all these things but with the time difference etc. it is a bit of pain communicating. Anybody know the answers/gone through a similar process? Would be v. grateful if I could pick your brain!

Not really. This is a UK site and you are in a very specific situation so you do just have to wait for Drexel to respond. Most people apply when they are just finishing their degrees so you can submit an interim transcript which you can ask your current uni for. You may be asked for proof of your English language capabilities but if they still want the TOEFL then you'll have to take it.
